A Bipartisan Reset for the United States

WHAT WE ARE PROPOSING

We are proposing an immediate, temporary, bipartisan leadership reset in the United States, grounded in constitutional process and restraint. The proposal is straightforward:

• Constitutional accountability where warranted
• Removal of the current President and Vice President
• A temporary bipartisan leadership arrangement, consisting of: a centrist Republican President (e.g. Mitt Romney) & a centrist Democratic Vice President
• A strictly time-limited mandate, serving as a bridge through the 2028 presidential election cycle
• No eligibility to run in the 2028 election

The sole purpose of this temporary leadership would be to:

• stabilize democratic institutions
• de-escalate political rhetoric
• protect electoral integrity
• create space for civic trust and national healing
• prepare the country for a normal, competitive, and credible 2028 election

This matters because democracies rarely fail all at once. They fail when damaging behavior is normalized and left uncorrected — until it becomes the new standard.

This is not about ideology or outcomes.
It is about restoring conditions under which democratic competition is once again legitimate and trusted.

WHY THIS MATTERS — FOR THE US AND THE WORLD

American prosperity and security have always depended on a stable international system, strong alliances, and leadership exercised through credibility rather than coercion.

A temporary bipartisan reset:

• strengthens US institutions rather than exhausting them
• protects long-term American economic and security interests
• supports global economic stability and growth — from which the US has benefited for generations
• demonstrates that democracies can correct course peacefully when norms are under strain

At moments of decline, great democracies are judged not by denial, but by their ability to reset and lead by example.

This is not a campaign fund, and no funds will be used for political campaigning or lobbying. Appropriate governance and oversight will be established as the initiative scales.
